Robot Seal

Sorry I haven't been posting any finished pieces on here recently. I've been working on 5 different projects simultaneously. 1 down, 4 more to go:

Everything was hand-sculpted, except for the board inside the robot's stomach. No blank toys were used.

A friend of mine decided to use my toys for his album cover for an upcoming album. The details are still in the works, but so far so good!!! Recognize any of these guys?? More details to come, stay tuned!

Mr. Sometime

One of the biggest of 2010: Thud Rumble Group Show: Mars-1, Damon Soule, Jesse Hernandez, Downtimer and yours truly.

The concept behind this toy is unknown. It started out as a few extra pieces of clay hanging about on a figure I was working on.

The results: time-consuming details and textures I have yet used on other pieces before.

I'm surprised how long this took to complete; all from those few extra pieces of clay.

This piece definitely combines my old style with some new ones.

I'm thankful for DJ Qbert and Ritchie who have invited me to be a part of such an elite group of artists. Hope to see y'all there!

Mixer Monster

Hope everyone had a great Christmas. Before the holidays, I was given an unimaginable project to do...

I had an overwhelming and challenging task, assigned by DJ Qbert, to transform his perfectly good, award winning, historical dj mixer into a Jay222 project.

It was hard to believe that DJ Qbert would allow me to "mess up" such a good thing; I am happy with the results and am thankful for the opportunity.

My sister easily got over the blood and exposed muscle tissues, but she just couldn't get past the fungus toenails.

Here: the legendary mixer before I had my way with it.

I'd like to thank DJ Qbert again for allowing me to work on such a project.

Next up, a special project for Zach Galifianakis (well known from his character in The Hangover).

For Cancer Bats, who lent their musical talent to my very first video of Sal, I created this piece as a thank you.

I was told that it now hangs in the studio with them :)
